I would LOVE to see any cakes decorated using this technique! If anyone follows the tutorial and you take a photo, if you post a comment here or on the cake tutorial, I'll link all of them at the bottom of these comments. Looking forward to seeing them guys!
EDIT: the tutorial I made describing the process involved can be found here: [link] Hope it's of some use or interest! This is my birthday cake. My mother cooked the actual cake (chocolate fudge cake) and I painted it. Doing things like this on our cakes has been something of a tradition for several years, although I only started doing it myself for my 13th birthday (this is my 15th) When I did a galloping horse. For my 14th I did Super Shadow, and it can be found here [link] This summer though I have become an Ouran High School Host Club fan, and so I decided to do the sweetest member of the club, 18 year old Haninozuka Mitsukuni aka Honey/Hunny. Because I can. And he's adorable. I even went to the point of working out the katakana ( thanks to ~hAtObAaKaQuAy for correcting me! ) for his nickname, which was difficult, but I worked it out by comparing the similar names/titles for him and Mori when they were introduced at the same time. It's split into three symbols; the / \ the = and the - (only way I can portray them) they read from top to bottom. The image is based on a screen shot from the first episode. The character belongs to Bisco Hatori. Painted in ACTUAL CHOCOLATE. This photo is dedicated to *Nashc92 because he was unable to come and see my cake. And he can't eat any. So this photo is for him. I am planning to make a tutorial on how I did this, so hopefully it will be up soon. However, I wish to get on top of my coursework as soon as possible, so I will be spending less time on my art for here. |

Me: You know unicorns dance on rainbows and shoot moonbeams out their asses
Laura: How do they shoot BEAMS out their asses?
Me: It's like diahhera for unicorns
Me: But, there is like a difference. If there is corn in it, it isn't moonbeams...

I dream of a better world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.

Once I have the time, I plan to make a tutorial for the site showing how I made it; during the whole process I was taking photos, so I'll put them together in a file with text explaining each step and post it here once it's finished.
